This is the season of severe thunderstorms moving into our area. Some of them are the effects of hurricanes in other parts of the country. It is important to be prepared before an extreme storm threatens both through pre-maintenance of your home and assuring that your home insurance policy is current to include coverage for not only wind damage but also flood or water damage because when the severe wind storms arrive, heavy rains are almost always present also.
