After we receive a contract to replace a roof, our next step is to get the shingle selection from the homeowner. I regularly have owners tell me to go ahead and pick out a shingle for them. This is something I refrain from doing. I have had owners pick their own shingle and not like the color after it’s installed and then it’s too late to do anything about it. I will extend my advice on colors I feel compliment the brick or siding and suggest popular colors available from the manufacturer.
